Staff Listening & Sharing Engagements Overview

The Metropolitan Council (Met Council) is assessing its small business inclusion activities, programs, policies, goals, objectives, and outcomes, as well as its purchasing practices related to these businesses and seeks to engage staff as part of the assessment.

What is the Purpose of the Engagements?

Met Council will host up to six (6) Staff Listening & Sharing Engagements in collaboration with Strong & Starlike Consulting, Inc. (Strong & Starlike) beginning April 2024. Each engagement is intended to: 1) Provide space for Council staff to share honestly and openly, 2) Ensure participants feel valued and heard, and 3) Clearly communicate ways participant input will be used and how staff will be kept informed on changes made by Met Council.

Met Council is specifically seeking to engage staff who: 1) engage in purchasing; 2) may help identify internal/external barriers to contracting with Met Council; and/or 3) may assist in developing strong programs/policies to strengthen its business inclusion programs.
